Beleza!
Beleza!! Beleza!!! it is Trio Mocotó's newest work. The
CD follows his predecessor's musical concept, Sambarock, that
marked in 2001 the reunion of the group with the Brasilian and
European stages.
The swing and groove from the traditional samba-rock played by
Trio Mocotó, who started out a Jorge Ben Jor 's back up band,
is the perfect sound to fill all the spaces of an open air festival.

Award-winning singer and percussionist Dinho
Nascimento from Bahia plays the berimbau, a
traditional one-stringed instrument brought from
Angola to Brasil during slavery times. This
Afro-Brasilian bow was originally played to accompany
capoeira, but it has been reinterpreted by luminaries
such as Naná Vasconcelos and has featured in the music
of Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimento and Miles Davis. In
the last decades, acclaimed virtuoso Dinho Nascimento
has pioneered new playing techniques, combining
berimbau sounds with blues, jazz, Brasilian folk
music, African tunes and even Indian traditional
music. His amazing fusion of rhythms and styles will
get the public dancing like crazy. He will peform with
a special guest, his son, Aluá Nascimento, leaving
audiences stunned.

Eddie is one of the best new bands in Brasil, with a
special indie MPB sound hailing from the Northeast.
The band is inspired by a huge range of styles, from
the Pixies and the Ramones to Jamaican music, bossa
and jazz. Their sound is also crucially influenced by
mangue-beat, the dub-fusion style that arose in
Northeastern Brasil in the 90s. Eddie will deliver a
heady mix of rock and dub injected with traditional
"frevo" dance beat from their native region.
